First of all, I am proud and honored to share that Skycure has been selected by leading analyst firm Frost & Sullivan as their Global Company of the Year for Mobile Enterprise Security. We have worked very hard to create the best solution we can, and recognition from this highly respected organization means a lot to us. Frost & Sullivan has issued an official release that may be read here.
Frost & Sullivan’s criteria for this annual award closely aligns with our own guiding principles. Specifically, they evaluate potential solution companies in the following two categories:
- Visionary Innovation & Performance
- Customer Impact
Having performed extensive analysis on a number of solutions in the Mobile Threat Defense market, F&S chose three to compare for publication. Only Skycure is named in this report as it is against their policy to disclose the other two competitors. Within each of these broad categories of evaluation, F&S looked at a number of specific areas, like “Addressing Unmet Needs”, “Visionary Scenarios”, “Price/Performance Value” and “Customer Ownership Experience”, among others. Here is the summary of their evaluation scoring that led to our award. I am impressed by our team members who have executed to achieve such a lead.
When mapped out on the official Decision Support Matrix, Skycure is the clear leader.
One thing that Frost & Sullivan called out in particular was our ability to provide real-time protections that go beyond simply detecting threats, to prevent breaches from happening in the first place. This is critical since it only takes a moment for a hacker to steal credentials that may be exploited at a later date. One of our unique protections is SRP, or Selective Resource Protection, which immediately protects critical enterprise resources from a potentially compromised device until a secure communication channel can be established or the threat is removed. All of this takes place automatically, even if communications with the cloud or other enterprise systems are blocked.
Frost & Sullivan also praised our decision to first develop a solution to secure iOS devices, and do it in a way that supports the best practices for mobile apps, respecting user privacy and the reasonable use of mobile resources, like battery life. By first solving what is arguably the more challenging platform to secure, the technology we developed translated very well to the Android platform, and also may be easily implemented on shared devices and IoT devices that cannot be easily secured with other solutions.
I want to express gratitude to Frost & Sullivan for considering Skycure, and also to the dedicated team that brought us to this point, and continues to drive us forward to maintain this impressive lead that is very quantifiable. As stated in the report, “Skycure has identified numerous malware instances in the past, when other solutions simply did not detect any threats on the device.”
Please take a few minutes to read the full report and share with your colleagues and friends who may also be in the process of evaluating solutions to address their own enterprise mobile security concerns.
