We’re very excited to announce that, as of today, Skycure is officially partnering with Microsoft to integrate our award-winning Mobile Threat Defense (MTD) solution with Microsoft’s award-winning Enterprise Mobility + Security Suite (EMS) and synchronize with Intune and Azure Active Directory. These Microsoft solutions provide enterprise mobility management and mobile device management, and we are excited to offer a powerful complement to them. Together, we will deliver a mobile architecture that is both deep and broad for enterprises, and which ultimately keeps their users, mobile devices, and data safe.
As Andrew Conway, General Manager of Product Marketing for Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security at Microsoft describes, “Mobile threat defense is becoming an important need in the enterprise, but it can be tricky to protect devices that are used for a mix of personal and professional activities”. Andrew continues, “Skycure’s integration with Microsoft EMS provides protection for a wide range of devices that access corporate data, while making it as easy as possible for IT teams to configure.” To that end, our goal when crafting the integrated solution was to effectively address the critical mobile use cases that enterprises are currently facing, namely:
- Ensure always-on protection (with or without internet connectivity) for your workforce’s managed and BYOD devices. With Microsoft EMS, Skycure delivers automated protection and mitigation (as opposed to just detection) against active mobile threats and cyber-attacks across the four key mobile threat vectors (as identified by both SANS and Gartner): the physical device, malware, networks, and OS vulnerabilities. This thorough, always-on protection allows IT to enforce both risk-based and compliance-based access control, which ensures that mobile devices remain risk free prior to accessing sensitive corporate resources, and that access to resources are only blocked in the face of an active threat or attack.
- Microsoft EMS customers can proactively stay ahead of attackers anywhere in the world with comprehensive mobile threat intelligence. By using crowd-sourced intelligence and a world-renowned research team, we’re able to analyze millions of apps and networks. This paints a real-time portrait of global threats to protect against, helping enterprises avoid the rising costs of data breaches and “shadow IT” by staying ahead of the attackers.
- Guarantee end user privacy through smart development and deployment. By leveraging only public APIs and avoiding deployment through sideloading, we’re able to both protect end user’s privacy (a key requirement in some geographies and industries) while also ensuring easier deployment and maintenance. End users can install the Skycure app directly from the Google Play or Apple App Stores, making deployment simple and familiar to end users, and the app was designed specifically to not drain batteries or impact performance. All of this encourages faster user adoption and lower overall risk for EMS deployments, which keeps end users and their mobile devices safe.
Our vision is to provide enterprises with a solution that makes both IT and end users uniquely satisfied. For IT, we want to provide a seamless solution with straight-forward integration, installation, and management – something that would be easy for IT to implement and use, and empower them to really keep end users, their mobile devices, and corporate data safe and secure. For our end users, we know that their mobile devices are extremely personal, so we want them to have an experience that isn’t intrusive or threatening – something that would run quietly in the background, but which users would appreciate as an app that truly keeps their whole mobile experience safe and private.
To that end, we’ve already gotten great customer validation that the Skycure Microsoft integration delivers on our vision, and it has been satisfying to hear about our customer’s early successes so far: “We’ve been searching for a solution that provides both management and security for mobile so we were very pleased at the simple and smooth integration of Skycure’s Microsoft integration” said Jamie Hammock, Vice President IT Infrastructure & Business Continuity at Private Advisors, LLC, a subsidiary of NYL. And, true to our goal (and music to our ears), Jamie added: “Plus, our employees love it.”
The Skycure-Microsoft partnership is designed with one goal in mind: to keep end users, their mobile devices, and corporate data safe and secure at all times. The depth and breadth that this partnership, and our solution, offers a robust forward-thinking mobile security architecture – one that both IT and end users will happily trust and rely on.
